REPLAY REPLAY REPLAY

I miss figure drawing. Really, I really do. Oh I'm itching for it, oh man. It's seriously the best productive thing to do--and good music makes it a gajillion times better also. Pop in my ear buds, prop up a sketch pad, pick up freshly sharpened pencils and gogogo I won't stop. I'm loving the contours of the body, the pencil feels through them and slips into the muscles. Really, it's like hot butter running down the body. Mmmmmm. I dunno, the sessions are just amazing. I can't wait to go back for more. Gotta get better.

At first it was really difficult and I had a hard time getting proportions right. But I think it's all about rhythm. Like with anything.

At college there's community figure drawing sessions held every Friday and Saturday, for dos dolares. Best 2 bucks spent every single time! Apparently no other students really know about since the vast majority of people there are either retired or look like they should be retired. Yeh. I think this is one of the best things I've found that college offers, which is not much when it comes to art. It's ridiculous, I mean really, no art organizations beside the freaking overpriced ASUC art classes the UC system offers. Although I have decided to give in and take a watercolor class this summer...$115 for 5 classes, no materials included. What.

Anyway, here are some from the past semester. Most are from the figure drawing decal. Which was just wonderful by the way, made two amazing friends there :)

VANILLA & CREAM

To be honest lately I am hating myself more and more. I'm selfish, nothing and no one seems to be worth the time. I'm disgusting. Perhaps when we get AC in this house things will get better. Oh and I stop PMSing. hm.

On another note, this chambray shirt is probably my favorite item of clothing. I also own it in a lighter wash. I'm so glad I picked up both, can't beat a 10 buck shirt! ;)
Also note to self: get new tights. These tights, although I never wear them have managed to get all pilled up and worn... I should start learning how to style tights.

Thrifted sweater | BDG Chambray Button-Up | random black beanie | AA Shorts

BY JOVE IT'S HOT.

So the only logical thing to do is to pull on a sweater and a black beanie right. obviii. Oh my god I don't know, don't ask me! haha. I just wanted to try on the sweater I just thrifted! See, logical reasoning! Oh dear yeah in the last picture you can really almost see sweat dripping off my chin haha.

f21 sheer cardi|grey tank|AA winter leggings|thrifted lace-ups

went to goodwill today and picked up two shorts, a button up shirt and a sweater. both shorts are high waisted and pleated, looks like i was looking in the right place because goodwill had loads of them. i took home a teal and an ochre(: i'm pretty happy with what i got, although the shorts need a bit of adjusting! will do tomorrow, perhaps also give the shirt hem a good snip for a more cropped silhouette...oughta experiment with crop tops good night xx

hi i didn't know the circle scarf could be worn as a dress like this!..or as a halter... best damn thing in the world. whether i could wear this in public is a question i'd rather not ask. it's better that way, really

childhood flames

camille of childhoodflames. ay this girl is just great. i really should be having dreams about her or something by now because i've literally read every word of her blog and seen every uploaded picture 5+ times. i'd also like to note, she's largely the reason why american apparel so generously dominates my wardrobe. also why i have so many diy rejects shoved at the back of my drawers. ah, what a revelation. but in all seriousness this girl is brillant with diy ideas, just spewing with them! the shirt above is just a cut up t-shirt, she said. see, who would have known.

way back home

got some film developed. although i must say i'm not entirely happy save a few (the above). pentax mg ISO 800. 50mm f/1.7. for the above two, i do like how the color combination turned out. suppose high school art classes aren't all useless fuzz when they insist on complementary colors.

to be honest lately i have had no appetite for music beyond kpop haha. it's therapeutic really, okay. no shame nope.

emblem

with much practice i finally learned how to french braid only to conclude that i do not look good with it. ナイス。

on another note the best thing about k-pop is that i can shamelessly enjoy the catchy beat without getting annoyed/question my taste because i literally cannot understand a word. well maybe one, ottoke ottoke! also it goes without saying my therapeutic use of watching pretty boys dance really well on youtube until 5am. yeah i kid not. cheeeya~
